Get your hands on visa  To USA For Education

Are you too dreaming for a US visa? Here’s an article that might make your process a bit simpler
It’s always a dream for most Indians to go to the US of A, either to study, tour, business or for any other purpose. Whatever the purpose be to obtain a lawful entry into the country one needs to obtain a Visa. US, like many other countries, has updated visa policies to increase security for citizens and visitors. Yet, much remains unchanged.

The process includes:
Applications
Interview

Recent changes in visa procedures have made it more difficult to get a visa in a timely manner. These are mainly to improve security clearance procedures to protect their country and, at the same time, facilitate legitimate travel. The security clearance procedures delay the issuance of visas in some cases. It is recommended that students should apply for visa as soon as they have completed the preparation to study in the United States.

The US entrance requirements are as follows:
You must be healthy. HIV-positive people are not allowed to enter the US.
You must be law-abiding. Criminal behaviour grounds for deportation.
You must be able to support yourself financially during your stay.
You intend to leave US after you complete your studies.

There are three types of student visas:

F-1 (Student Visa). The F-1 visa is for full-time students enrolled in an academic or language program. F-1 students may stay in the US for the full length of their academic programme plus 60 days. F-1 students must maintain a full-time course load and complete their studies by the expiration date listed on the I-20 form.

J-1 (Exchange Visitor Visa). The J-1 visa is issued for students needing practical training that is not available in their home country to complete their academic programme. The training must be directly related to the academic programme. The J-1 visa obligates the student to return to their home country for a minimum of two years after the end of their studies in the US before being eligible to apply for an immigrant (permanent residence) visa.

M-1 (Vocational Student Visa). The M-1 visa is issued for students attending non-academic trade and vocational schools. The M-1 visa is valid for at most one year. Recipients of an M-1 visa may not change fields of study. Switching from an M-1 visa to a F-1 visa is not permitted.

Of these, the F-1 and the J-1 are the most common for international students. If the foreign student advisor believes you have the resources necessary for study in US, he or she will send you a Form I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant [F-1] Student Status). You will need to submit this form with your application for a student visa to the American embassy or consulate. You will also have to provide proof of proficiency in English (unless you are enrolling in a language programme). You will also need Form OF-156 (Non-Immigrant Visa form available from US consular offices), a valid passport, a square photograph (as per embassy specifications) showing full face against a light background, and the visa processing fee.

For any specific information the students should contact the US embassy or consulate for information about visas to the US. Every embassy and consulate has a small library of information about studying in the US. They can advise you as to the procedures required for a student visa.

There are a few things students need to be careful about. Once they are in the US, they must check their visa status carefully before travelling to other countries. Their visa must permit multiple entries. Otherwise, they might not be allowed to re-enter the US when they return from their trip. It is very difficult to get a new US visa outside your home country and the US if you've been denied re-entry into the US.
For students on an F-1 visa, the passport must be valid for at least six months when they enter the US, and their I-20 must have been signed by the foreign student advisor within the past six months. They must also have a valid F-1 visa stamped in their passport and carry documentation of financial support. The rules for students on a J-1 visa are similar, except the IAP-66 form must have been signed by their sponsor within the past year. But there are exceptions for students on both visas, especially for students who have changed their visa type while in the US or who come from certain countries, so they should check with their international student advisor before taking any trip outside the US, including trips to Canada or Mexico. There are also limits on the amount of time a student may stay outside the US before their visa becomes invalid.

It is important to remember that visa processing and operations vary depending on local circumstances.  Some consulates require that personal interviews and appointments be scheduled in advance and some interview applicants on a walk-in basis at specific, posted times. The time it takes to process your visa also can vary significantly depending on type of visa and circumstances in the country or region. Therefore it is important that one should contact the closest U.S. Embassy or Consulate as soon as one knows that he or she needs to travel to the US.
